What Is Feldspars

Feldspar is the general name of feldspar group minerals, and is the most important rock-forming component in the earth's crust, with a proportion of 60% .

Feldspar belongs to aluminosilicate minerals containing potassium, sodium, calcium, barium and other elements (KAlSi3O8-NaAlSi3O8-CaAl2Si2O8).

Feldspar is a crystalline body of magma invaded or ejected from igneous rocks to form veins; it can also exist in a variety of metamorphic rocks . Rocks formed almost entirely of calcareous plagioclase are called plagioclase . Feldspar has also been found in a variety of sedimentary rocks [4]. In addition, the moon's shell is also composed of feldspar.

The minerals of the feldspar group are mesh silicates. Common feldspar is composed of three end-member components:

Potash feldspar (orthosite)



Usage Of Feldspar

Feldspar is a common raw material for manufacturing ceramics, glass, enamel and geopolymer, the main component of granite; feldspar containing rubidium and cesium can be used as raw materials for extracting rare elements.

Feldspar is used as a component of abrasives.

Feldspar Powder Processing Technological Process

Phase one: raw material crushing feldspar blocks will be crushed to 15mm-50mm fineness by crusher.

Phase two: grinding feldspar material will be sent to the storage hopper by the elevator, and than the feeder will send the material to the main mill for grinding.

Phase three: classifying Ground material will be classified, coarse powder will fall back to the main mill to be ground again.

Phase four: production collecting Qualified powder will flow with the air and be collected in the dust catcher, then the finished powder will be transported to the product storage bin through discharge port. Lastly, the powder will be loaded by tank car or packed by packing machine.
